Kobe Scores 62

Note: There will always be posts that do not conform to the general rule of my blog. Some posts may deviate from the original theme. This post is one of those exceptions.

Tuesday night at the Staples Center, Kobe Bryant scored 62 points, a career-high, and that too in only three quarters!

It makes me sad because I couldn't catch the game live. The reason: EspnStar Sports felt that Cricket Classics was a more important broadcast at the time. But nevermind that, why am I cribbing about EspnStar Sports, I should be happy now. Atleast I'm able to watch EspnStar at home. Pune cable-wallahs are useless.
Anyway, back to Kobe. A few stats, Kobe bhaisaab scored 15 points in the first quarter, 17 in the second, and a franchise-record 30 in the third before getting back on the bench for good with the Lakers leading 95-61. They were playing Dallas. 15+17+30 = 62! He was beating the Mavs single-handedly. Also, I wonder why the Mavs are still wearing those ugly away jerseys. Kobe is the next player to reach 60 points since Phili's Allen Iverson, who scored 60 points against the Orlando Magic last February (I think).
Now, I eagerly await Saturday for this week's NBA Action. No better way to start the Holiday season.
