Ramayana Re-Born

There has been a lot of hype about this new comic, and I can't wait to get my hands on the first issue.

Here's a brief intro:

In an age of desolation and darkness when the world is dying from the curse that men inflicted upon themselves, a great epic shall take place once again. The spawn of the final destruction that decimated earth wills to carve the world to his own soulless image; he is Ravan the master of the half living race of Asuras. His armies marches across the world invading one land after another and poisoning the earth with his vile mechanoids. But there is hope still and it lies in Ayodhya, the last vestige of the race of humans, a gleaming city that boasts the finest of warriors – Kshatriyas. But even Ayodhya has been infected by the evil that spreads across the world like a contagion, and the prime victim is Rama, the first born of the Maharaj or chief councilor of Ayodhya.

By treachery Rama is exiled from his land, but in the course of his travels he finds out the true meaning to his existence: he has to become the scourge of the Asuras and the protector of the daughter of earth. Thus begins Rama's journey across the kingdoms, lands and continents, the quest to retrieve the soul of the planet and cleansing of the world of a malevolent darkness that threatens to engulf it.

Main Characters

Rama

The eldest son of the chief councilor of the great land of Ayodhya (the human’s lone surviving city on Earth), the blue-skinned Rama is born to a warrior code that he’s seemingly never destined to live up to. But when his father dispatches him to a remote outpost that is the subject to a surprise demon attack, Rama’s journey from ad hoc soldier to ultimate warrior begins. But when Rama’s personal code of ethics and morals is challenged, he turns defiant and, then, aloof. Now years later, with the dark forces wantonly wreaking havoc on the remains of the earth, Rama bears the burden of beingits savior. Only he’s not interested. Until Seeta…

Lakshman

Rama's younger brother, Lakshman is a defiant, impulsive, and reckless fighter that longs for the glory of being a war hero. But when war finds Lakshman and his older brother, Lakshman discovers it's not all it's cracked up to be. Now forced to embark on a journey and a mission with Rama who he can't see eye to eye with, Lakshman must reconcile a frontier not defined by the coded morals of the Kshatriya warrior kind and find relevance in a world that seemingly offers little.

Ravan

During the great ‘Mahavinaash', the World War that decimated the earth and its ecosystem, a massive force was unleashed and birthed a being that was the result of an amalgamation of men's most violent weaponry and awry nano-technology all grafted onto a cloned human soul. Unleashed in his fetus stage, eventually his cocoon broke and an entity feeding only on malevolence and death began to emerge. Initially his behavior was erratic, based on instinct, but then with age he started learning. He learned about the new world, the varied species around him that themselves were undergoing a renewed stage of evolution in adapting to their obliterated environment. He learned about his own powers including a strange phenomenon called techno-magic that made him almost invulnerable and able to spread influence in his surroundings. And then he started experimenting and mating with various creatures, spawning his brood. In his own image he created a lethal and monstrous race, the Asuras, which thrived on death and destruction. He is known as Ravan, the dark lord of the savage Asura demons.
